Coming May 6

Schell Games, the developer behind Among Us 3D, together with publisher Innersloth, have officially announced that the game will hit the shelves on May 6, 2025. This exciting news was shared via the game's official Twitter (X) account on April 16. Initially known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to provide a more expansive experience, including cross-play multiplayer capabilities. Recently, the developers introduced a new currency called Stardust, which offers players increased flexibility in their in-game purchases, as it never expires.

Among Us 3D introduces a permanent Tag Mode, featuring the new Infected role, alongside native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, and a variety of new and returning mini-games. Players can also look forward to a slew of fresh cosmetics to personalize their gameplay experience.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D is a distinct entity from the original Among Us VR, which was released in 2022. Cross-play between these two games will not be available. According to the FAQs on Schell Games' website, Among Us 3D is designed to be a completely different game, allowing the developers to enhance Among Us VR while delivering a high-quality, tailored experience for PC players.

Among Us 3D is now open for wishlisting on Steam, and Schell Games has launched a thrilling campaign called the Powered By Wishlists Challenge. By reaching certain wishlist milestones, fans can unlock various in-game rewards:
