This AFK Journey character tier list helps you determine which heroes to prioritize. Remember, most characters are viable, but some excel in endgame content. This list ranks characters based on versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

AFK Journey Tier List

A disclaimer: Most AFK Journey heroes are usable. However, some outperform others in challenging endgame scenarios.

This tier list prioritizes versatility and performance across PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May, a must-have Wilder, excels in damage and utility. She counters Eironn teams in PvP and boosts AFK stage progression. Thoran remains the best F2P tank, even alongside the luxury unit Phraesto. Reinier is a top support for both PvE and PvP. Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for various game modes. Odie shines in Dream Realm and PvE. Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team. Tasi, a strong Wilder crowd control character, dominates most game modes except potentially Dream Realm (though this may change). Harak, a powerful Hypogean/Celestial warrior, increases in strength as battles progress.

A-Tier Characters

Lyca and Vala effectively utilize Haste. Lyca boosts party Haste, while Vala increases her own with each marked enemy kill. Antandra is a solid tank alternative to Thoran. Viperian, excellent with Thoran and Cecia, excels in energy drain and AoE attacks (though less effective in Dream Realm). Alsa, a strong DPS mage, is a good alternative to Carolina in PvP, especially with Eironn. Phraesto, a durable tank, lacks damage output. Ludovic is a strong Graveborn healer, particularly effective with Talene and in PvP. Cecia, while still a good Marksman, is less impactful in the current meta. Sonja significantly enhances the Lightborne faction with respectable damage and utility.

B-Tier Characters

B-Tier characters fill roles but aren't worth significant investment. Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie is a decent alternative tank. Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays but less useful in other modes. Florabelle is a secondary DPS supporting Cecia. Soren is decent in PvP but not optimal elsewhere. Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has diminished.

C-Tier Characters

C-Tier characters are outclassed quickly after AFK level 100. Parisa, while offering AoE crowd control, should be replaced as soon as possible.
