When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event brings the Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon, Applin, from the Galar region, into the world of Pokémon GO for the very first time.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, gather 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. Applin's final evolution, Dipplin, leads to Hydrapple.

A key aspect of the event is the Apples. These items, crucial for evolution, will appear in the wild. By tapping on them, you might discover a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even encounter Applin itself. To increase your chances of finding these Apples, consider using Mossy Lure Modules.

Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to avoid its natural predators, bird Pokémon. It's undoubtedly one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire roster of Pokémon GO.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Additionally, event bonuses include 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, making it a perfect time to level up your Pokémon.

You'll have a better chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. There's also an increased chance of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs. And don't forget, catching Delibird or Skwovet will reward you with berries, enhancing your gameplay experience.
