ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled
Studio Wildcard has recently unveiled an ambitious content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This updated plan details a significant expansion of the ARK: Survival Evolved remaster, leveraging Unreal Engine 5 for enhanced performance and introducing a steady stream of new content.
Key highlights from the roadmap include:
Unreal Engine 5.5 Upgrade (March 2025): This crucial update will significantly boost performance and pave the way for individual DLC map downloads, reducing the overall game size. Nvidia's frame generation support will also return.
New Maps and Creatures: The roadmap outlines the addition of several new maps, both free and paid. Free additions include Ragnarok Ascended (April 2025), Valguero Ascended (August 2025), Genesis Ascended (Parts 1 & 2 in April and August 2026 respectively), and Fjordur Ascended (December 2026). A paid premium map will launch in June 2025. These map releases will be accompanied by a variety of free creatures, including the Bison (April 2025), community-voted selections, and several "Fantastic Tames" throughout the year.
Bob's True Tales: This previously announced content, part of the game's season pass, will be integrated with the Genesis Ascended releases in 2026.
The roadmap provides a high-level overview, suggesting further unannounced additions may be in store over the next two years. The focus on performance improvements, individual DLC downloads, and a consistent release of new maps and creatures promises a substantial and engaging future for ARK: Survival Ascended.
