This guide details the four artifact detectors in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, making detectors crucial for locating them within anomalous zones.
The Echo Detector is your starting artifact finder. This small, yellow device uses a strobing light to indicate proximity to an artifact. The intensity of the strobe and beeping increases as you get closer. While functional, pinpointing artifacts can be time-consuming.
Acquired during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from vendors, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo. It features concentric rings around its display that illuminate progressively as you approach an artifact. Full illumination signifies you're directly above the artifact's spawn point.
Obtained during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector offers a numerical approach. Decreasing numbers indicate closer proximity to the artifact.
The Veles Detector, earned by completing the "In Search of Past Glory" main mission, is the most advanced. Its radar clearly displays the artifact's location within an anomalous field, also highlighting nearby hazardous anomalies for player safety. It's the most efficient and accurate detector in the game.
