Ubisoft showcases the PC edition of Assassin's Creed Shadows in a new trailer, highlighting its advanced features. The trailer focuses on its compatibility with upscaling technologies, ultra-wide monitors, ray tracing (RTGI and RT Reflections), and extensive customization options for less powerful PCs.
At launch, the PC version will support DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, and XeSS 2. A built-in benchmark tool will aid performance testing and ensure compatibility with ultra-wide displays.
Minimum specifications for 1080p at 30 FPS include an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, along with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 (8 GB) or AMD RX 5700 (8 GB) GPU. High-end players aiming for 4K, 60 FPS with ultra settings and ray tracing enabled will require an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and an RTX 4090 (24 GB) graphics card.
Ubisoft collaborated with Intel to optimize the game for their processors. Post-launch performance analysis on AMD systems is planned. The community is keenly awaiting the game's release, hoping for smoother performance compared to previous entries, building on the improved performance seen in Mirage over Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.
Assassin's Creed Shadows launches on March 20th for PC and consoles.
