What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered

After completing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the game's vast open world remains fully accessible. You can continue to explore and engage with the myriad of side content that Feudal Japan has to offer. The game doesn't restrict access to any side activities post-main quest, allowing for complete freedom in your exploration.

Additionally, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will receive post-launch updates with new weekly challenges through the Animus, ensuring there's always something new to do, even after achieving 100% completion.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

Rolling credits doesn't necessarily mean the end of the story in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In my playthrough, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After these are done, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to witness the complete ending and earn the associated achievements.

At the endgame, players can also unlock exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist's playstyle and are a treat for fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.

Moreover, players can continue to level up and progress towards the game’s maximum level cap long after the credits have rolled.

What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the game will continue to evolve with new content. Expect updates through the Animus and new items in the store. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is slated for release in 2025. This DLC will introduce over 10 hours of new content set on the Island of Awaji.
