Obsidian Entertainment has unveiled its 2025 post-launch plans for Avowed alongside detailed patch notes for the 1.4 update.
The fantasy RPG developer shared comprehensive updates today on their official website. While update 1.4 introduces meaningful additions – including accessibility features like an Arachnophobia mode (transforming spiders into harmless-looking spheres) and enhanced map navigation – the roadmap offers even more exciting prospects.

Three major updates are planned throughout 2025. The first arrives with update 1.4, featuring quality-of-life improvements along with cross-platform support (mouse/keyboard compatibility for Xbox), expanded crafting resources, gear refinements, a new campsite mechanic, and more substantial rewards.
Summer will bring cooking/crafting enhancements, expanded NPC interactions, fresh weapon/armor sets, and customizable map markers. Later in autumn, Avowed receives its most substantial content drop yet – introducing highly anticipated New Game Plus and Photo Mode features alongside character customization upgrades.
The development team also addressed localization requests: "We recognize players in Korean, Japanese, and French-speaking regions deserve proper localization. Rest assured these language options are actively in development and will be implemented when perfected."
