Kai

Encountered early in Dawnshore, near Paradis, Kai is your first true companion. This former mercenary, a formidable tank in combat, excels at both sustaining and inflicting significant damage. His fire abilities prove invaluable for clearing obstacles and uncovering hidden treasures.

Kai's upgradeable abilities include:

• Fire and Ire (Active): A powerful blunderbuss shot that stuns and taunts a single enemy.
• Unbending Defense (Active): Regenerates health and boosts damage reduction.
• Leap of Daring (Active): A powerful leap that stuns and taunts nearby enemies.
• Second Win (Passive): Revives Kai with 50% health upon death.

Marius

Marius, encountered in Dawnshore, shares history with Kai. A skilled hunter and tracker, his abilities reflect his expertise. His "Hunter Sense" aids in locating loot and crafting materials, while his combat prowess utilizes bows, daggers, and nature-based traps.

Marius' upgradeable abilities include:

• Binding Roots (Active): Roots an enemy in place.
• Heart Seeker (Active): A piercing shot that ignores obstacles.
• Shadow Step (Active): A multi-hit dagger attack after vanishing in smoke.
