Bam Margera, the iconic former professional skateboarder and Jackass star, will indeed be part of the much-anticipated Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 roster, despite initial reports suggesting otherwise. This exciting update was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during an exclusive members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley revealed that Tony Hawk himself intervened after the game was considered "already done." Hawk reached out to Activision with a request to include Margera, and although initially told it was impossible, Hawk's persistence paid off. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.Margera's inclusion in the game is particularly noteworthy given his well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab stints. His professional life has also seen significant turbulence, notably being fired from Jackass Forever and being subject to a restraining order from Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats.
Adding to the buzz, Hawk and Margera recently shared a video of themselves skateboarding together, which sparked initial speculation about Margera's return to the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, and will be available across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy and has made a remarkable comeback after nearly being canceled due to Activision's merger of previous developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.
