After two failed launches and months of anticipation, *Rune Slayer* has finally arrived, and it's nothing short of glorious. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned player, diving into *Rune Slayer* can be a thrilling yet overwhelming experience. To help you navigate this vast world, we've put together a comprehensive guide to kickstart your adventure in *Rune Slayer*.

Rune Slayer Beginner Tips

Here are some key insights we wish we had known from the start to make your journey smoother and more enjoyable.

Do not randomly attack other players

When we first heard about *Rune Slayer*'s full-loot PvP, we were bracing for a chaotic bloodbath. Fortunately, that's not entirely the case. **In *Rune Slayer*, dying—even to another player—doesn't result in losing your items.** You simply respawn and continue your adventure unscathed.

However, **initiating attacks on other players comes with consequences.** Each kill adds to your bounty, and the higher your bounty, the more items you'll lose upon death. Thus, the only way to experience full-loot PvP is by attacking others and risking being taken down yourself. Our advice? **Avoid attacking other players unless you're part of a group or have a strategic reason to do so.**

Craft Bags ASAP

You'll quickly realize that both your bank space and inventory in *Rune Slayer* are quite limited. With a cap of 50 items, your inventory can fill up faster than you might expect. To manage this, **craft bags as soon as possible.** You can equip up to two bags at once, starting with the **Cotton Bag**.

To craft a Cotton Bag, gather **Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south**—just be cautious of the mobs in the southern area. Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots to your inventory, so don't delay in crafting them.

Your pets don’t actually die

There's a common misunderstanding that your tamed pets in *Rune Slayer* die permanently when their health reaches zero. This isn't true. **When your pet 'dies,' it's simply unavailable for 5 minutes.** You can check this cooldown by holding **T** after your pet gets 'killed.' Once the cooldown ends, hold **T** again to summon your pet back.

A useful tip: To quickly **heal your pet,** store it and then unstore it at the stable master. You have one free slot available for this purpose.

Grab all the Quests (Yes, all of them)

*Rune Slayer* is packed with quests, most of which are non-repeatable and often resemble the typical "Kill 10 X" quests found in many MMORPGs. Given their volume and similarity, it's easy to overlook them. Our solution? **Accept every quest you encounter,** including those from the Job board. Completing multiple quests simultaneously is far more efficient than tackling them one by one. You might even find that you can complete several quests in a single outing, which can be quite rewarding.

Craft everything at least once (even things you don’t need)

While you should prioritize crafting what you need, don't hesitate to use **spare materials** to craft items you might not immediately require. **Crafting new items for the first time often unlocks more advanced crafting options.** For example, smelting your first Iron Ore can unlock the ability to craft Iron Armor. So, be generous with your materials and explore all crafting possibilities.

Join a Guild

*Rune Slayer* is designed to be solo-friendly, but as you delve deeper into the game, you'll encounter **challenging enemies** that are best tackled in groups. Joining a guild is the most straightforward way to find like-minded players to take on these formidable foes. Whether you shout in the general chat or use the official *Rune Slayer* Discord server, getting into a guild can significantly enhance your gaming experience.

And that's all you need to get started with *Rune Slayer*. Enjoy your journey, and if you're yet to begin, don't forget to check out the *Rune Slayer* Trello and Discord for additional resources and community support.
