Larian Studios recently unveiled a 52-second cinematic teaser on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing a new evil ending. The Dark Urge takes center stage, demonstrating the sinister ramifications of a completely evil playthrough.

The preview depicts the horrifying fate of the Dark Urge's companions. Witnessing their leader succumb to Bhaal's influence and seize control of the Netherbrain, they become the first victims of a reign of terror. The Dark Urge's mind control forces their companions to meet a gruesome end, a chilling scene narrated with the ominous words, "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's." The Dark Urge ultimately shares a similar fate.

This is just one of several new evil endings promised in Patch 7. Larian's April community update highlighted their commitment to enhancing the game's evil endings, offering even darker conclusions for sinister playthroughs. Importantly, these endings aren't exclusive to The Dark Urge character. Previously teased endings include The Dark Urge amidst a sea of blood and corpses, and a town consumed by "sheer mindless bliss" under The True Absolute.

What Else Awaits in Patch 7?

Patch 7 is a massive update, brimming with new content and improvements. In addition to the sinister endings, expect a dynamic split-screen mode for co-op play, enhanced Honour Mode challenges, and a highly anticipated modding toolkit for community-created content.
