How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Your journey to the cat island requires you to travel to the Omi region, typically around the midpoint of the story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and powerful enough to handle the challenges ahead. Head northeast to reach Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water central to the region. To reach the island, it’s highly recommended to find a boat. You can secure one from the settlements of Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, you can swim, but a boat will make your journey much smoother.

Navigate to the larger island in the middle of the lake, just northwest of Azuchi. As you approach, the game will unveil Okishima island, which features a Kakurega where you can rest. You'll notice plenty of fish being dried near the docks, a clear sign that this island is home to a certain type of animal.

To immerse yourself in the feline wonderland of Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll start encountering more and more cats. Don’t miss the chance to pet them; adding these critters to your collection will enhance your Hideout, particularly the rare kittens that are hard to find elsewhere.

While Leaps of Faith usually reveal more interesting locations on your map, the true treasure on Okishima is the feline company. After taking in the sights and landing in the haystack, there’s little else to do but enjoy the cats. You’ll revisit the island later in Yasuke’s story, adding another layer of excitement to your adventure.
