Revue Starlight Re LIVE: Curtain Call on September 30th
The mobile game, Revue Starlight Re LIVE, based on the popular anime series, will officially cease operations on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC. After nearly six years on Android, the game's servers will shut down worldwide, marking the end of its run.
Reasons for the Shutdown
The game's closure isn't entirely unexpected. Over its lifespan, Revue Starlight Re LIVE faced challenges including repetitive events, reused assets, and costly battle passes, leading to player attrition. Furthermore, narrative inconsistencies, such as the abrupt shift in storyline, contributed to its decline.
Positive Aspects
Despite its shortcomings, the game boasted a high-quality soundtrack featuring music from the anime, and visually impressive 3D graphics and Live2D animations.
Final Farewell Events
While the game's lifespan is nearing its end, players still have a few weeks to enjoy remaining content. August and September will feature several farewell events, including a "Thank You For Everything" campaign offering ten free pulls daily and a two-month birthday celebration with new "New Stage Girl Gacha" events at the start of each month. Download the game from the Google Play Store to participate in these final events.
