First Deadlock update of 2025 is surprisingly small

Valve's back from their New Year break, and the first Deadlock patch of 2025 is here! While we anticipated a larger update following the shift away from bi-weekly releases, this initial patch focuses on a few key adjustments.

The update primarily targets Yamato, slightly nerfing their damage scaling and reducing the attack speed bonus from Shadow Transformation's first level. Additionally, Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot received minor weakens, while Alchemical Fire underwent a subtle rework.

A larger, more comprehensive patch is likely on the horizon, though predicting its arrival is currently impossible.

It's worth noting the recent dip in Deadlock's player base. While some players may be engrossed in Marvel Rivals, a consistent online player count of 7,000–19,000 remains respectable for a game still in deep beta. Remember, Valve has yet to reveal any release dates or monetization plans.
