Delta Force pre-orders now open for Android and iOS

Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now accepting pre-registrations for iOS and Android. Launching in late January 2025, this Tencent-developed title marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market. The game boasts diverse missions and modes, emphasizing tactical gameplay.

For those unfamiliar, the Delta Force franchise is a cornerstone of FPS gaming, predating even Call of Duty. Inspired by the US military's elite special forces unit, the series is renowned for its realistic combat, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry.

Tencent's Level Infinite has masterfully revitalized the franchise. The game features a Warfare mode offering large-scale battles reminiscent of Battlefield, and an Operations mode focusing on extraction-style gameplay. A single-player campaign, drawing inspiration from the Battle of Mogadishu and the film Black Hawk Down, is also planned for 2025.

Addressing Cheating Concerns

Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced controversy regarding cheating. Tencent's aggressive anti-cheat measures, employing G.T.I. Security, have drawn criticism for their perceived overreach, particularly concerning PC restrictions. While mobile platforms generally present a lower risk of cheating, this initial controversy might impact player interest. However, the mobile version still holds potential to meet expectations.
