Devil's Purge Goes Free-to-Play, Expands Soundtrack

During my trip to Portugal last year, I had the exciting opportunity to dive into one of the most anticipated releases, Devil's Purge. Developed by Ontop, this augmented reality (AR) shooter immerses players in a thrilling battle against demons and the devil himself, all underscored by a fierce heavy metal soundtrack.

If you've been hesitant to give Devil's Purge a try, now is the perfect moment to dive in. Not only is the game expanding its already intense soundtrack, but it's also transitioning to a free-to-play model. Inspired by its spiritual predecessor Doom, Devil's Purge adopts a shareware approach. You can experience the initial levels out of a total of over 60 completely free, with the option to unlock the full game for a fee.

In Devil's Purge, you're not just standing still and shooting; you'll be on the move, dodging enemies and uncovering their weak spots. This dynamic gameplay sets it apart from games like Pokemon Go, offering a more intense and interactive experience.

Blast 'em!The latest update brings a collection of new tracks to the game's brutal soundtrack, featuring music from independent metal artists such as Avesso, Visceral, Zero Massive, Tales for the Unspoken, and many others. With over 60 levels and a new combat system that allows you to customize your equipment from the start using resources from previous sessions, there's no better time to jump in and confront the forces of Hell!

The shift to free-to-play begins today, and you can find Devil's Purge on the iOS App Store.

If you're looking for a completely different gaming experience, check out our regular feature, "Ahead of the Game," where Catherine Dellosa shares her thoughts on the charming and cozy culinary simulator, Cat Restaurant, among other upcoming releases you can try before their official launch.
