"The Exit 8: 3D Walking Simulator Hits Android!"

The Exit 8 has now made its way to Android devices, blending elements of horror and exploration into a unique experience. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this $3.99 game offers a walking simulation with a chilling twist, making every step you take filled with suspense and uncertainty.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, players navigate an endless underground passageway resembling a Japanese metro station. Trapped in a loop, the environment—tiles, lights, posters, and a solitary man walking towards you—repeats endlessly. The core challenge lies in detecting anomalies: a poster might display a different graphic, the lights may flicker excessively, or you might even encounter a river of blood instead of the usual floor. The game's mechanics hinge on noticing these subtle changes and reacting swiftly.

The rule is simple: if you notice something out of place, turn back. If not, continue forward. Your objective is to reach the eighth exit flawlessly by correctly identifying and responding to these anomalies eight consecutive times. Fail to do so, and you'll have to start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from liminal spaces and the concept of the Backrooms. The setting mirrors real Japanese metro stations, such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo, capturing the essence of claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture. The Exit 8 immerses you in an environment where you must scrutinize your surroundings for the slightest deviations that could indicate danger or a shift in reality. This constant questioning of your memory and perception ensures that each playthrough feels unique and unsettling.

Originally released for PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 took Kotake Create approximately nine months to develop. Following its launch, it garnered 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
