Exoloper: Heavy Metal Mobile Game Launches Next Week

If there's one thing that mobile gaming seems to be missing, it's the thrill of heavy metal mech action. While this niche is quite specific, it holds a special place in the hearts of gamers, reminiscent of the beloved Mechwarrior series, both on and off the tabletop. However, single-player mech simulators have been few and far between—until now.

Enter Exoloper, the mech battle simulator from Anchorite Games, the creators of the acclaimed space battle simulator Interloper. Announced back in October last year, Exoloper brings the action straight into the cockpit of your own personal mech. This isn't an overhead strategy game; it's pure, one-on-one, first-person heavy metal clashing. If you've been yearning for a Mechwarrior-like experience on mobile, Exoloper might just be what you're looking for.

Exoloper is set to launch on storefronts on February 10th. In this game, you'll take on enemy mechs in a fight to liberate your homeworld from the oppressive Commonwealth. You can try out a free campaign to get a taste of the action and then decide if you want to dive into another, premium section for more content.

The mech battling genre has been a niche one since the heyday of Mechwarrior in the late 90s and early 2000s. While Mechwarrior 5 and Clans have kept the spirit alive, it's surprising to see a spiritual successor emerge on iOS. While Exoloper may not delve as deeply into mech simulation as its predecessors, it promises an immersive experience that fans of the genre will appreciate.
