Nightmare Echoes are enhanced versions of standard Echoes in Wuthering Waves, significantly impacting Resonator usage. Superior to their regular counterparts, acquiring a Nightmare Echo is crucial for maximizing character potential. While obtaining them is relatively straightforward, defeating the Overlord-class enemies that drop them can be challenging depending on your team's strength. This guide explains Nightmare Echoes and how to acquire them.
Nightmare Echoes are alternative variants of the standard 4-cost Echoes, dropped by Overlord-class enemies. They feature unique active skills and offer a percentage-based elemental damage boost, making them considerably more valuable than regular Echoes. This passive elemental damage boost allows them to replace a 3-cost Echo, enabling a 441111 Echo composition.
Importantly, Nightmare Echoes retain the same Sonata/Set effects as their standard counterparts, minimizing the need for build adjustments.
