Game journalist Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2024 has announced its nominees across 19 categories. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth leads with seven nominations, including a coveted spot in the Game of the Year race. Competing for GOTY are the breakout hit Astro Bot, indie darling Balatro, the culturally significant Black Myth: Wukong, the highly anticipated RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio, and the polarizing Elden Ring expansion, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Voting is now open to fans until December 11th via The Game Awards' official website and Discord server.
The Game Awards 2024 ceremony takes place on December 12th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where the winners will be revealed. The event will be livestreamed on The Game Awards website, as well as across various social media and video platforms, including Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube.
