Netmarble is gearing up to launch Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, an exciting new mobile game based on George R.R. Martin's iconic book series and the popular HBO show. Fans can look forward to the first closed beta, which is set to kick off on Android and PC starting January 15th. The beta will run until January 22nd and is available to participants in the US, Canada, and select parts of Europe. Sign-ups for the Android version are now open, so don't miss your chance to dive into this immersive world!

Unlike previous mobile adaptations of Game of Thrones, which focused on strategy and other genres suited to the series' high-level intrigue, Kingsroad offers a different experience. Players will step into the shoes of a single character who becomes the heir to the obscure House Tyre through a series of bizarre incidents. As you journey through Westeros, you'll battle foes and earn prestige, immersing yourself in the rich world of Game of Thrones.

The game's trailer promises a Witcher-like experience, featuring third-person exploration and combat. Players can choose from three distinct classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin, each offering unique gameplay mechanics. While the visuals and concept look promising, the real test will come with the gameplay experience during the closed beta.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta AnnouncementWinter is coming (well, it's already here, but you know what I mean). Registration for the closed beta is open until January 12th, so be sure to sign up quickly! While Game of Thrones: Kingsroad looks impressive, it's bound to face intense scrutiny from the series' dedicated fanbase, who have been eagerly awaiting a ground-level experience like this.

Monetization and long-term support will be key factors in the game's success. If Netmarble can deliver on these fronts, they may finally provide the immersive Game of Thrones experience fans have been craving.
