The latest update for *God of War Ragnarök*, version 06.02, has arrived to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary with the introduction of the Dark Odyssey Collection. Santa Monica Studio has shared detailed patch notes, outlining the exciting additions to the game that are now available to all players at no extra cost.

The Dark Odyssey Collection includes a variety of Norse-themed cosmetics for Kratos, Atreus, and Freya, along with an updated aesthetic for all of Kratos' godly weaponry. This update not only brings new visual flair to the game but also introduces the "Edit Appearance" feature. This new option lets players customize their favorite looks without affecting the armor's abilities and skills, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

Whether you're diving into the epic battle against Thor and Odin for the first time or revisiting the saga, now is the perfect time to jump into *God of War Ragnarök*. The update is compatible with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, ensuring that all players can enjoy the new content.

While the Dark Odyssey Collection adds a delightful array of cosmetic options, some fans had hoped for more substantial celebrations, such as modern remasters of the original *God of War*, *God of War 2*, and *God of War 3*. However, Santa Monica Studio has not announced any plans for such remasters at this time.

Inspired by the working name of *God of War* (2005) and the skin that originally appeared in *God of War II* as a reward for beating the game on God Mode difficulty, we have brought back the black and gold theme for the anniversary.
