In the expansive world of *Monster Hunter Wilds*, players can engage in a variety of fascinating activities that offer unique rewards. For those aiming to unlock the Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy or achievement, this guide is your essential starting point.

How to Unlock the Monster (Squid) Hunter Trophy/Achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds

While fishing might not be central to your main quest progression in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, it provides a delightful diversion and its own dedicated questline. Completing this will equip you with the necessary tools to pursue the coveted trophy and achievement.

Your journey begins with Kanya's fishing questline. Here's how to progress through it:

Seeking the Goldenfish

Start by catching the Goldenfish, which you'll find in cave water pools. Head to the Scarlet Forest in Area 6 and use either the Golden Bughead or Common Wood Minnow baits. The Fallow weather state increases the chance of the fish appearing.

Fishing for Favor

Next up, you'll need to catch the Gravid Bowfin. This can be done at the Scarlet Forest base camp during the Plenty weather condition. Equip the Emerald Jitterbait and cast your line to reel in this fish.

The Catch of a Lifetime!

Kanya will then challenge you to catch a Whopper, any large fish that triggers the reeling minigame. The Tuna is a popular choice for this quest. Visit the lake in Area 17 of the Scarlet Forest, hook a big fish, and patiently reel it in.

After completing these quests, Kanya will introduce you to the Razzle Dazzle quest, which is crucial for unlocking the Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy or achievement. Here's what you need to do:

Navigate to the Scarlet Forest, specifically Area 17. You'll need the Downpour weather condition within Inclemency. You can wait by the grill or rest at your camp to change the weather. Once conditions are right, walk into the lake's deep end until you can go no further. Look for squids swimming around. If none appear, fast travel to another location and back to respawn them.

Equip the Tentacle Jig provided by Kanya and start fishing. While the quest asks you to catch the Grand Escunite, your target for the trophy and achievement is the Goliath Squid. Focus on the squids with glowing blue shells. If you hook one and the reeling minigame begins, you're on the right path. Battle the creature, reeling it in when it tires, until you can pull it to shore and secure your trophy or achievement.

That's all you need to know to unlock the Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy or achievement in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and guides, visit The Escapist.
