Way of the Hunter: Wild America is making its way to mobile, bringing the immersive open-world hunting experience straight to your fingertips. If you've already explored the wilds on PC or console, you know exactly what to expect—realistic tracking, strategic gameplay, and vast natural landscapes teeming with wildlife. Developed by Nine Rocks Games, the original version launched in August 2022 across PC and consoles, and now, thanks to THQ Nordic and HandyGames, it’s being adapted for mobile devices.
While mobile hardware has its limitations, the developers are committed to delivering the core experience faithfully. Some graphical adjustments may be necessary to ensure smooth performance across a range of devices, but the essential gameplay—and yes, the DLC content—will be available post-launch. Currently, the mobile port is in beta, with a full release expected soon.
HandyGames has officially announced a closed beta test (CBT) via Twitter, inviting players to sign up through a dedicated form. If you're eager to get early access and help shape the mobile version, head over to their official X (formerly Twitter) page for details and registration.
Way of the Hunter stands out by blending realism with open-world freedom. Set across sprawling 55-square-mile environments inspired by real locations in the USA and Europe, the game challenges your patience, precision, and survival instincts. Animals behave like real wildlife—moving, feeding, and reacting to disturbances in their habitat. Hunt recklessly, and you’ll scare entire herds away from the area.
The game features a wide array of authentic hunting gear, including rifles, bows, and scouting tools. Track your prey using blood trails, footprints, and environmental cues to ensure a successful hunt. Every decision matters—the ecosystem dynamically responds to your actions, making each session feel unique.
Beyond solo hunting, Way of the Hunter includes a campaign mode, co-op multiplayer, and an in-game economy. Sell game meat to fund better equipment, purchase hunting permits, or decorate your lodge with taxidermy trophies. On mobile, the game will support full controller integration, ensuring a seamless and responsive experience.
