Hangry Morpeko Is Coming To Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Pokémon GO's Halloween event, Part 1, is almost here! Niantic has unveiled the details, promising spooky encounters and exciting features, with a Part 2 to follow.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, to Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Event Highlights:

  • Morpeko Debuts: This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon makes its Pokémon GO debut, boasting a unique ability to switch between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode mid-battle, affecting its Aura Wheel attack (100 power, boosts Attack in both modes).

  • Morpeko Encounters: Increased Morpeko encounter rates in the GO Battle League's premium track (available at Rank 16 and above, but more frequent in premium battles).

  • Halloween Atmosphere: Enjoy special holiday decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town music playing nightly.

  • Dynamax Max Battles: Encounter Dynamax Gastly, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble, in one-star Max Battles.

  • Timed Research: A free Timed Research event (October 22nd to November 3rd) focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits, rewarding players with encounters featuring Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
