Where to Find New Weapons in Hyper Light Breaker

The primary method for obtaining new gear is through exploring Overgrowths. While exploration naturally yields new items, focusing on sword (Blades) or pistol (Rails) icons on the map significantly increases your chances of finding weapons.

Blades are melee weapons, each possessing unique movesets and special abilities. Rails, on the other hand, are ranged weapons with diverse functionalities. Both weapon types come in varying rarities, with gold representing the most powerful and desirable finds. Rarity directly correlates to weapon stats, a common mechanic in loot-driven games.

To save any discovered weapon for later use, press the Cache button instead of equipping it directly. This adds the weapon to your personal stash, allowing you to equip it before embarking on future runs by adjusting your loadout at the Outpost.

Acquiring New Starting Weapons

Beyond finding weapons during runs, you can purchase new starting equipment from merchants located in the Cursed Outpost. Initially, only the Blades merchant is accessible. Unlocking the Rails merchant requires gathering sufficient materials to repair their shop.

Weapon Upgrades

Enhance your gear by upgrading it at the Outpost merchants. However, the upgrade function itself must first be unlocked by increasing your affinity with the merchants. This is achieved by collecting Golden Rations, a rare resource found through exploration or cycle resets. Use Golden Rations judiciously, as they are a valuable and limited resource.
