The official synopsis describes The Odyssey as a globally-shot, mythic action epic utilizing groundbreaking IMAX film technology. This marks the first time Homer's seminal work will grace IMAX screens.

The film chronicles Odysseus's decade-long odyssey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. While Universal remains tight-lipped on further plot details, reports suggest an impressive ensemble cast.

Matt Damon, reuniting with Universal after his Oppenheimer success (a seven-time Academy Award winner), was reportedly the first actor approached for the lead role.
