During the IGN Fan Fest on February 27, 2025, South Korean developer Neople thrilled fans with a new gameplay trailer for The First Berserker: Khazan. This trailer offered a glimpse into the thrilling boss fights that await players, featuring Khazan battling an umbrella-wielding boss and two other formidable beasts.

The umbrella-wielding boss appears to play a significant role in the game's narrative, as evidenced by the brief cutscene shown before the battle commences. Although the HUD was not visible during this segment, leaving some details about the boss undisclosed, the other two bosses were clearly identified. These include a wolf-like creature named Shactuka and a ram-like beast known as the Specter of Bhangau, equipped with a hammer and spike.

Possible Awakened Form

A highlight of the trailer was Khazan entering what appears to be an Awakened form, transforming from his usual samurai-inspired look to a more imposing figure with a red glow and full body armor. This new form equips Khazan with an array of enhanced attacks and the ability to wield multiple weapons simultaneously.

The game already offers diverse combat options for Khazan, but this awakened state significantly boosts his attack power and speed. The trailer showcased Khazan utilizing the game's combat mechanics, including blocking enemy projectiles, executing parries, and unleashing fast-paced combos. Despite these powerful moves, the health bars of the bosses suggest that Khazan's attacks deal minimal damage, emphasizing the game's challenging, Souls-like combat system.

While Neople has yet to confirm details about this awakened form, the trailer suggests it will enable Khazan to unleash devastating damage and perform complex combos with various weapons.
