In THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, your goal is to assemble the ultimate team of fighters to conquer diverse stages. Each fighter contributes unique strengths and synergies to the squad, with some characters empowering others.

Team composition and "synergy" are the core mechanics. Every fighter possesses a unique synergy type, such as [Rush], [Fury], or [Solid]. Certain fighters share Synergy effects that activate powerful bonuses when deployed together. Yellow icon synergies boost damage for specific fighters, while orange icons provide team-wide stat buffs. Rare "Special" synergies, marked by stars, unlock unique, game-changing effects.

The impact of synergy on your team's performance is profound. In many dungeons and stages, synergy is the key to success. Take the Blue Doom Colossal battle: deploying just two [Rush] synergy fighters grants a massive 1500% damage increase. Adding two [Solid] synergy fighters contributes another 750%, resulting in a staggering total of 2250%.

Your team will battle through various dungeons automatically, as is standard for idle RPGs. Instead of micromanaging combat, your role is to optimize your team and strategize to overcome obstacles.

If you hit a roadblock on a stage, you may need to upgrade your Fighters or reorganize your roster to discover new, more powerful synergies. Then, simply set your team in motion and watch them fight, or check back later after tending to other tasks.

Of course, THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK offers much more content and modes to explore, such as Team Battle, Extreme Dojo, and Garden, each with its own customized deck system. Extreme Dojo and Garden feature light competitive gameplay: players can claim training spots in the dojo or visit other players' gardens to collect flower bouquets. These modes provide engaging, bite-sized PvP experiences.

The Nostalgic Fighters Are Back

THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK gathers a roster of iconic and beloved Fighters from the series, reimagined in a new format. They are rendered as charming pixel art sprites, inspired by the NEOGEO POCKET COLOR visuals from THE KING OF FIGHTERS R-2.

You'll recognize familiar faces like Kyo Kusanagi and Vice, each with multiple variations. The game launches with over 100 different fighters, with more planned through future updates.

In addition to fighters, there are over 40 different Supporters who provide various forms of assistance. Cosmetic pets also make an appearance, offering performance boosts for your fighters while adding a dose of adorable flair.

The grand launch comes with special rewards to give you a strong start. Simply logging in grants 3,000 Summons, and your first summon guarantees a Legendary fighter, allowing your team to hit the ground running.
