In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the ongoing feud between Prochek and Olbram can be resolved during the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest. Here's a detailed guide on how to navigate and ultimately stop the conflict.

How to Start Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To initiate the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest, you must first complete either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Once you've seen either of these quests through to the end, the Battle of the Frogs and Mice will become available. Start the quest by speaking with Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov, and then head to the designated pasture to begin.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

During the quest, Henry faces the decision to side with either Prochek or Olbram. If you choose to side with Prochek, visit him in Tachov and say, "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" Alternatively, to side with Olbram, meet him in Zhelejov and say, "Let's go and see those Tachovites!"

At the pasture, avoid trying to reconcile them during their initial negotiations, as this will only provoke an early fight. Instead, if you can pass the dialogue check during these negotiations, you'll cause one member of the opposing side to flee, simplifying the ensuing battle. Winning the fight for either side will reward you with groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

For a more peaceful resolution, when speaking to Prochek or Olbram before heading to the pasture, inquire if they wish to end the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz to meet Baliff Thrush and select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace." Successfully passing the subsequent dialogue check allows you to visit the scribe’s room to read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If persuasion fails, you can sneak in to read it, but remember to save your game beforehand.

Once in the scribe's room, choose the dialogue option, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."

Next, go to the pasture and locate three oak trees standing in a row. Examine the middle tree to discover a nail. You have three options for the nail's placement:

  • Leaving it in the middle tree will evenly divide the pasture between Tachov and Zhelejov.
  • Placing it in the west tree favors Tachov with more land.
  • Inserting it into the east tree benefits Zhelejov with additional land.

The choice of nail placement doesn't significantly impact the outcome, so select based on your preference or neutrality. After deciding, speak with Baliff Thrush again to confirm the end of the feud. Then, invite Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to finalize the resolution.

Afterward, talk to Baliff Thrush to receive the Master Studies I book.

This approach successfully ends the feud in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, offering a peaceful resolution to the Battle of the Frogs and Mice. For more tips and information on the game, visit The Escapist.
