Konami Hails Silent Hill 2 Remake After Hitting 2 Million Sales Milestone

Konami is celebrating the phenomenal success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, which has already surpassed two million copies sold. Developed by Bloober Team, the remake launched on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on October 8th, 2024, quickly achieving one million sales within days of release. While Konami hasn't officially confirmed it, this rapid sales figure suggests it may be the fastest-selling Silent Hill game to date.

Konami lauded the game's critical reception, highlighting numerous "perfect" review scores, awards, and nominations, solidifying its place as a timeless horror classic. IGN's review awarded the remake an 8/10, praising it as "a great way to visit – or revisit – one of the most dread-inducing destinations in the history of survival horror."
