Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Unveil New Legacy of Kain Projects: Encyclopedia and TTRPG

Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Crystal Dynamics has partnered with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker to expand the Legacy of Kain universe with two new projects.

The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia

The Book of Nosgoth, penned by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun, promises a comprehensive exploration of the Legacy of Kain setting. This official encyclopedia will delve into Nosgoth's history, geography, factions, and key characters, providing a detailed timeline of the Kain and Raziel saga. Beyond lore, the book will feature behind-the-scenes content including concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, offering a deep dive into the creation of all five Legacy of Kain games.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan: A Tabletop RPG

The second project, Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, is a tabletop role-playing game utilizing the MÖRK BORG ruleset. Set during the Sarafan Order's war against vampires, players take on the roles of Sarafan warrior priests, engaging in vampire hunts and exploring Nosgoth's hidden history and spectral realms. The game features six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a bestiary of creatures, and the vast landscape of Nosgoth.
