Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide

Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with a tiered ranking system. This guide details the competitive rank reset mechanics.

Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics

At the end of each season, your competitive rank will be demoted by seven tiers. For example, a player ending the season at Diamond I will begin the next season at Gold II. Players at Bronze III, the lowest rank, will remain there after the reset.

Rank Reset Timing

The competitive rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1's start date (January 10th) serves as an example of when a reset might be expected.

Marvel Rivals Rank Tiers

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Progression through the ranks is based on accumulating points; every 100 points earned advances you to the next tier. The ranks are:

  • Bronze (III-I)
  • Silver (III-I)
  • Gold (III-I)
  • Platinum (III-I)
  • Diamond (III-I)
  • Grandmaster (III-I)
  • Eternity
  • One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)

Even after reaching Grandmaster I, players can continue competing to earn points and achieve Eternity and One Above All ranks. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.

Season Length

While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are anticipated to last approximately three months. New seasons will introduce fresh content, including new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time for rank progression.
