How To Fix ‘Mission Not Complete’ in Ready or Not

So, you've just navigated through an entire mission in Ready or Not, taken down all the adversaries, saved the hostages, and followed the plan to the letter. But then, out of nowhere – "Mission Not Complete." Frustrating, isn't it? Don't worry, you're not the only one facing this issue. Here's your guide to resolving the "Mission Not Complete" problem in Ready or Not.

1. Double-Check Your Objectives

Ready Or Not Mission Complete Vote Screen

The first step is to thoroughly review your objectives. Even if you believe you've completed everything, the game might have other ideas. Failing to complete all objectives can still allow you to vote to end the mission, but for a full completion, you'll need to ensure all tasks are checked off.

How to Check:

Press the Tab button to access the mission menu and review the objective list. If you see any objectives marked in red or listed as incomplete, that's where your issue lies. Some commonly overlooked objectives include:

  • Reporting downed suspects or civilians – You must report any incapacitated or killed suspects by interacting with them (default key is F). The same applies to civilians.
  • Securing evidence (weapons, bombs, etc.) – Make sure to secure any dropped weapons. If a suspect drops a gun, pick it up.
  • Completing optional objectives – Some missions include additional tasks, such as disabling security systems. Skipping these can lead to an incomplete mission status.
  • Ensuring all hostages are safe – Double-check that all civilians are rescued and no one is left tied up.

Fix: Revisit the map and ensure you haven't missed anything.

2. The Vote-to-End Issue (Multiplayer)

Ready Or Not Vote to End Mission Screen

A common pitfall in co-op mode is the need for unanimous consent to end the mission. If any player misses the vote prompt, the "Mission Not Complete" error can occur.

How to Fix:

  • Ensure all players press Y (the default key) when the vote prompt appears.
  • Remind any players who haven't voted via voice or text chat.
  • If a player is AFK, you may need to wait or remove them from the session.

  • If the vote screen isn't visible for some players, restart the mission.

3. Objective Bugs

Sometimes, despite completing all objectives, the game might not recognize them.

Common Bugs:

  • The game doesn't acknowledge secured weapons.
  • A hostage isn't counted as rescued, even when they are.
  • An objective remains incomplete despite meeting the criteria.

How to Fix:

  • Restart the mission and attempt it again.
  • In multiplayer, try switching the host, as objectives might register differently for different players.
  • Verify your game files: Go to Steam > Right-click Ready or Not > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files. This can correct any missing or corrupted files causing issues.

The Classic ‘Restart and Hope’ Method

If none of the above solutions work, sometimes the only option left is to restart the mission.

It's not the most satisfying fix, but Ready or Not is still evolving, and mission completion bugs are not uncommon. If a mission stubbornly refuses to complete, restarting may be the quickest way to resolve it.
