Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Gets Extra 24 Hours After PSN Outage

Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a 24-hour PlayStation Network outage that crippled online gameplay last weekend. The outage, which began Friday, February 7th at 3 PM PT, lasted approximately 24 hours, leaving PlayStation users unable to access online services. Sony attributed the disruption to an "operational issue" and compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.

This disruption unfortunately impacted the Monster Hunter Wilds beta, cutting short its planned weekend session (February 6th-9th). In response, Capcom has extended the next beta session by 24 hours. The new dates are:

Thursday, February 13th, 7 PM PT / Friday, February 14th, 3 AM GMT – Monday, February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / Tuesday, February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT

Capcom confirmed that players participating during this extended period will still receive the in-game participation bonuses offered in the full release.

Despite the previous outage, beta participants had the opportunity to tackle the challenging new monster, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
