This not only marks the best launch in the Monster Hunter series but also sets a new high for all of Capcom's games. Previously, Monster Hunter: World (2018) held the record with 334,000 active players, followed by Monster Hunter Rise (2022) with 230,000. Despite these impressive figures, the game encountered a wave of negative reviews on Steam due to technical issues, including bugs and frequent crashes.
