Capcom has officially announced that Monster Hunter Wilds' first major post-launch update, Title Update 1, will be released on Thursday, April 3, Pacific Time, and April 4, UK time. In a detailed showcase video, Capcom not only confirmed the release date but also outlined the exciting new content players can anticipate.
A key highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the Grand Hub, a new social space where players can engage in novel interactions. Within the Grand Hub, you can enjoy a new mini-game called Barrel Bowling and catch live performances by the Diva during the night.
Additionally, the update brings the Mizutsune, a leviathan monster known for its dangerous bubbles, into the game alongside a new Zoh Shia quest. Later, an event quest will introduce the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau.
Title Update 1 also introduces Arena Quests, allowing players to compete for the fastest completion times. All players will have access to free content, including classic gestures from the series. Alongside the update, Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will be available for purchase.
Looking ahead, Capcom teased a collaboration with another unannounced Capcom game set to arrive at the end of May. A second title update, featuring a new monster, is planned for release in the summer.
While PC gamers have been vocal about performance issues with the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds, the showcase did not address any upcoming improvements in this area.
