Mother Nature: EcoDash is a new endless runner for Android with a powerful message. This game, developed by the UK-based immersive arts organization BOM (Birmingham Open Media), tackles the issue of pollution head-on. Uniquely, it's a collaborative effort between BOM and a group of girls aged 11-18 from the youth project Powered by CAN, whose input shaped the game's art style and mechanics.
What Makes Mother Nature: EcoDash Special?
You play as Mother Nature, a Black female scientist, on a mission to clean up the city and rescue animals from the clutches of Smog, a villain dedicated to environmental destruction. The gameplay involves running, jumping, and collecting air purifiers to keep the smog meter down and avoid being engulfed by a toxic cloud. Beyond the core endless runner mechanics, rescue missions add another layer of gameplay. Throughout the city, you'll encounter endangered animals needing your help. Successfully reach the rainforest to release them back into their natural habitat.
BOM's goal was to create a fun and engaging way to educate players about climate change and air pollution. The game is packed with power-ups, shields, and bonus items to aid your mission.
Mother Nature: EcoDash delivers a simple yet meaningful message through engaging gameplay. Download it from the Google Play Store today if it sounds like your kind of game.
