As reported by Nintendo Life, journalist Felipe Lima discovered a listing for a Take-Two Interactive Nintendo Switch 2 game on French retailer Fnac, which included the dimensions of the game case. If accurate, these details suggest that Nintendo Switch 2 game boxes will be slightly larger than those of the original Switch.

This potential change was visually illustrated in a Reddit post by user HertzBurst, who created a mock-up showing the two game box sizes side by side. According to the listing, the dimensions of the Nintendo Switch 2 game boxes are approximately 5.1 inches / 13 centimeters by 7.7 inches / 19.5 centimeters. This means the new cases will be somewhat larger than the familiar smaller cases of the current Nintendo Switch, yet still significantly smaller than the standard cases used for Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5 games.
