Say it isn't true — or perhaps just an elaborate prank, because let's be honest? It very well could be. Craig Robinson, beloved for his role on The Office and a comedy mainstay for years, has dropped a bombshell announcement: he's walking away from comedy to pursue a monumental new endeavor.

"Life update: I'm officially quitting comedy to focus on my true calling," Robinson captioned an Instagram video posted last week. "Stay tuned. I'm working on something huge."

His selfie video offered a few more hints but kept fans guessing about his next move. "Hey, everybody! Just wanted you to hear it straight from me: I am stepping away from comedy," he said in the clip. "But not without reason. It's been an incredible journey, and all of you have been absolutely amazing, but now I'm chasing something bigger. So thank you so much, I love you, and stay tuned."

In the comments, fans expressed disbelief, disappointment, and plenty of skepticism—and honestly, with a comedian like Robinson, a healthy dose of doubt is understandable. After all, this could easily be an elaborate joke or clever promotion for an upcoming project.

However, the actor did post a follow-up suggesting a new business venture. "Turns out having a dream and actually building a business with your friends are two VERY different things," he wrote. "I can’t spill all the details just yet, but seriously—any support would mean the world."

For now, the true meaning behind his announcement remains a mystery. One thing’s for sure: we’re paying close attention.

Robinson is best known for his role as Darryl Philbin, the warehouse foreman in 118 episodes of The Office, but he’s also made memorable appearances in Mr. Robot, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Bad Guys.
