People Can Fly, renowned for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has recently inked a significant deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment. The agreement is for a new game codenamed Project Delta, which will be developed as a work-for-hire project. While the specifics of Project Delta remain under wraps, this collaboration marks another exciting venture for the studio.

Currently, People Can Fly is juggling multiple projects, each bearing a unique codename. These include Project Gemini in partnership with Square Enix, which unfortunately saw 30 developers laid off last year; Project Echo with Krafton; Project Red, which also appears to be linked with Sony; and the VR project, Project Bison. Notably, Project Bison was announced just yesterday as the studio's final venture into virtual reality.

The studio has faced some challenges recently, having suspended work on Project Victoria last December and scaling down Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, they also announced the cancellation of Project Dagger, an action-adventure game developed in collaboration with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these setbacks, People Can Fly remains highly active with a total of eight known projects in development. This includes the eagerly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, developed in partnership with The Coalition, though a release date has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Project Gemini, their collaboration with Square Enix, is slated for release in 2026.
