Mastering the Haunted Mirror in Phasmophobia: A Guide to Ghost Hunting

The Haunted Mirror stands out as one of the safest Cursed Objects in Phasmophobia, offering significant rewards that outweigh the risks. Its function remains consistent across game updates, making it a highly recommended item if encountered during an investigation.

The Mirror's power lies in its ability to reveal the ghost's current preferred room. A panoramic view of the room is displayed in the mirror's reflection, significantly speeding up the ghost's location and allowing for strategic equipment placement before the hunt intensifies.

Typically found hanging on a wall (as seen in 6 Tanglewood Drive) or on the floor at its designated location, the Haunted Mirror, like all Cursed Objects, has a fixed spawn point on each map; only the type of Cursed Object is randomized.

To utilize the Mirror, simply pick it up and use the designated interaction button (mouse or controller) to hold it up. The ghost's favored room will then be visible in the reflection. However, remember that on Professional difficulty and above, the ghost's location may shift after a certain time.

Caution is advised: prolonged gazing into the Mirror depletes sanity. Holding it for the entire duration will shatter the Mirror, triggering a Cursed Hunt at your precise location. Therefore, use the Mirror judiciously, preferably when sanity levels are high, and ensure you understand the reflection's information.

Understanding Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia

Cursed Possessions ("Cursed Objects") are unique, randomly spawning items in Phasmophobia. Their appearance can be influenced by difficulty settings and Challenge Mode.

Unlike standard equipment, which aids in ghost detection and evidence gathering with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer shortcuts to manipulate the ghost, but at a considerably higher risk to your character's safety.
