*League of Legends* has launched an exciting new minigame within its client, available until the end of April. If you're familiar with *Balatro*, you'll find the gameplay of Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends* quite intuitive.

League of Legends Demon’s Hand Set-Up and Getting Started

To dive into Demon’s Hand, ensure your *League* client is updated to the latest version. Once updated, click the Play button, navigate to the game type menu, and select Demon’s Hand. You'll be introduced to the storyline of this mode before jumping into your first round of the card game.

Your hand is displayed at the bottom of the screen. In the bottom right corner, you'll see your health, coins, and percent crit chance. Above this, you have the Sigil box, where you can activate up to six Sigils at once, though you'll start with none. Remember, your health doesn't automatically restore after battles; you'll need to visit tent locations on the map to regain a percentage of your health.

The enemy card is at the top of the screen, with its health and damage shown in the bottom right and left, respectively. An attack coin to the left of the enemy card indicates how many hands you can play before the enemy strikes. On the far left of the screen, a book details all playable hands and their base damage in a standard round.

To inflict damage, you'll need to play poker hands, which are reimagined in Demon’s Hand with unique names. The ultimate hand to aim for is The Demon’s Hand, equivalent to a royal flush. Below is a list of hands you can play, along with their poker equivalents and base damage:

  • Solo = High Card (10 Base Damage)
  • Dyad = Pair (20 Base Damage)
  • Dyad Set = Two Pair (40 Base Damage)
  • Triad = Three of a Kind (80 Base Damage)
  • Tetrad = Four of a Kind (100 Base Damage)
  • March = Straight (125 Base Damage)
  • Horde = Flush (175 Base Damage)
  • Grand Warhost = Full House (400 Base Damage)
  • Marching Horde = Straight Flush (600 Base Damage)
  • The Demon’s Hand = Royal Flush (2000 Base Damage)

In addition to base damage, the numerical value of each card adds to the total damage. If the enemy has a special ability that negates a specific suit, cards of that suit will be crossed out and won't contribute their numerical value to the damage, though you can still play them.

Spice Up Your Attacks with Sigils

Sigils are key to enhancing your strategy. You can purchase them during store phases, indicated by coins on the map. Coins are earned by defeating enemies and can be spent on Sigils, each offering unique abilities. Hover over them in the store or during a round to see what they do. Some Sigils might boost damage for specific hands like Dyads, while others could grant you extra turns or reduce incoming damage.

That's a comprehensive guide on how to play the Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends*. If card games aren't your thing, keep an eye out for the upcoming April Fools skins to spice up your experience on Summoner’s Rift.
