Niantic Unveils Major Pokemon Go Event in Sao Paulo, Brazil
Niantic recently announced exciting news for Brazilian Pokemon Go players at gamescom latam 2024. A large-scale event is planned for Sao Paulo in December, promising a city-wide takeover. Details are limited, but the event is expected to be a significant celebration of the game's popularity in Brazil.
The announcement, made by Alan Madujano (Head of Operations in LATAM), Eric Araki (Country Manager for Brazil), and Leonardo Willie (Community Manager for Emerging Markets), highlighted the game's immense success in the region. Niantic's collaboration with the Civil House of the City of Sao Paulo and local shopping centers ensures a fun and safe experience for all participants.
Beyond the December event, Niantic is committed to enhancing the Pokemon Go experience in Brazil by significantly increasing the number of PokeStops and Gyms nationwide. This expansion is facilitated through partnerships with various Brazilian city governments.
Brazil's importance to Niantic is undeniable, particularly since the reduction in in-game item prices led to a substantial revenue boost. This success is further underscored by the creation of a locally produced video celebrating Pokemon Go in Brazil.
