Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held across three international cities:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

What to Expect

Pokémon GO Fest is renowned for its exclusive in-game content, including:
- Rare Pokémon Encounters: Expect the appearance of rare Pokémon typically unavailable through standard gameplay. Past events have featured legendary Pokémon like Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow.
- Increased Shiny Rates: Certain Pokémon will boast heightened Shiny encounter rates.
- In-Person Event Exclusives: For those attending in-person events, exclusive merchandise, location-themed items, community hubs, and team lounges await.

While specifics remain under wraps, expect a similar format to previous years' events.
Two More January Events

In addition to the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two more exciting events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over:
- Date: January 15th, 2025, 12:00 pm – January 19th, 2025, 8:00 pm (local time)
- Highlights: Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Encounter the debuting Shroodle and Grafaiai (hatchable from 12 km Eggs). Other Shadow Pokémon will appear, including Snivy and Tepig. A fashionably dressed Croagunk might even pop up in your snapshots!
Shadow Raid Day (Shadow Ho-Oh):

- Date: January 19th, 2025, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm (local time)
- Highlights: Participate in Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. There's also a boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate, and lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
