The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, drawing over 90,000 competitors eager to participate in the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. The Open Qualifiers, which started on February 13th, offer a golden opportunity for emerging talent to showcase their skills and secure a place in the prestigious PMGO Main Event.
With a substantial $500,000 prize pool at stake, the competition is fierce. This tournament is uniquely designed for amateurs, ensuring that fresh talent can shine without the overshadowing presence of established teams. Participants must navigate through multiple rounds, proving their mettle to advance.
Teams that boast at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have directly advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, these emerging squads will vie for spots in the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will earn the coveted opportunity to compete against PUBG Mobile's elite in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots based on their outstanding performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Additionally, four more teams will join them, selected from regional competitions such as the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, leading into the Prelims on April 10th-11th, and culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament sets the stage for an exciting year in PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to follow later in 2025.
