Rauora is the new Rainbow Six Siege operator

The final day of the Six Invitational is always a thrilling event for Rainbow Six Siege fans, as Ubisoft traditionally unveils significant updates and introduces new operators. This year, they delighted the community by announcing Rauora, the latest attack operator hailing from New Zealand.

Rauora's standout feature is her DOM launcher, which deploys a bulletproof shield, resistant to gunfire but vulnerable to explosives, specifically designed for doorways. This shield comes with an innovative trigger mechanism that can be activated by shooting it. The time it takes for the shield to retract varies based on who pulls the trigger: attackers enjoy a swift one-second response, while defenders face a three-second delay. This feature could prove pivotal, especially during tense moments when the defuser is planted.

Alongside her tactical gear, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2 to the game—a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine. For her primary weapons, players can choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle, offering versatile combat options.

Enthusiasts eager to try out Rauora can access her on the test servers starting next week. However, those playing on the live version of the game will need to wait a bit longer before they can deploy this new operator in their matches.
