How to Start "Thrown to the Dogs" in Assassin's Creed Shadows

Once you've pre-ordered and started Assassin's Creed Shadows, you'll unlock a quest called "Thrown to the Dogs." This quest becomes available after gaining control of Naoe and accessing the open world for the first time.

Follow the quest marker on your map to locate the dog. The dog will lead you to a farm. Search for a key hidden under a house. Return to the dog's initial location after finding the key. Befriending the dog completes the quest.

If you're having trouble finding the key, look for a small crawlspace beneath the house. Naoe can crawl into this space to retrieve the key; it's easy to miss.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Pre-order Bonuses

Completing "Thrown to the Dogs" unlocks your pre-order bonuses:

• Tsuki-maru as a pet at your Hideout
• 1,000 XP

While these bonuses might seem modest—Tsuki-maru is primarily a cute companion at the Hideout—the 1,000 XP is a significant early-game boost, providing several Mastery Points. Note that you'll still need to level up your Knowledge to unlock additional skills.
