"Rivals Update 9: Gunblade and Bridge Map Added, Ranked Mode Coming Soon"

The thrilling first-person shooter PvP experience on Roblox, Rivals, has rolled out Update 9, introducing the innovative Gunblade weapon and the exciting Bridge map to its ever-growing arsenal of content. Developer Nosniy Games has shared detailed patch notes for this latest update, which, though shorter than some recent releases, promises to keep players engaged and entertained.

The Gunblade, a versatile two-in-one weapon that functions as both a rifle and a giant blade, is set to revolutionize combat strategies within the game. This new addition allows players to surprise their opponents by seamlessly switching between ranged attacks and close-quarters combat. The Gunblade is perfectly suited for the newly added Bridge map, a compact arena set in Seoul and designed by creator @GreatGuyBoom. This map, constructed from concrete and featuring minimal cover, thrusts players into immediate, intense battles.

While Update 9 focuses primarily on the new map and weapon, it does not include specific bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life enhancements. Nosniy Games has opted to prioritize these new features, although they have made minor modifications to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi and renamed several other weapons to the Vexed series. The team assures players that more comprehensive updates are on the horizon, with the eagerly anticipated Ranked mode being the highlight of the next major content update.

“We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked,” the developers stated, emphasizing their commitment to enhancing the game based on community input.

NEW SPECIAL CHALLENGES!

The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
